  • ½ tsp matcha powder
  • 1 small piece dried kombu 2–3 inches
  • 1 umeboshi plum pitted
  • 2 thin slices fresh ginger
  • 1 cup hot water not boiling
  • 1 tsp honey or agave optional

  • In a heat-safe mug or teapot, pour hot water over the kombu and let steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the kombu and add matcha powder. Whisk until frothy and dissolved.
